The Technical Advisory
Committee was appointed in April 2003 by the Minister of Finance
and the Minister of National Revenue to address issues related to
tax measures benefiting persons with disabilities.
Response of the Government of Canada to the Recommendations of the
Technical Advisory Committee in Budget 2005
On February 23, 2005, the Government announced in Budget 2005 that
it would act on the recommendations of the Committee contained in its
December 2004 report. The sections of Budget 2005 discussing the

Following Budget 2005, the co-chairs of the Committee, Sherri
Torjman and Robert Brown, sent a letter of acknowledgement to the
Ministers of Finance and National Revenue regarding the Government’s
response to the Committee’s recommendations. (The letter is

Committee was submitted to the Ministers of Finance and National
